Eric's Agenda

Expanding Healthy Neighborhoods

Expanding Healthy Neighborhoods

Building Better Schools

Ensuring Safer Communities

Promoting Economic Growth

Bringing Government Home

Each and every one of us is a steward of our urban ecology . . .

Councilmember Garcetti is working to expand healthy neighborhoods that are clean and green. He believes that we must open up opportunities to Los Angeles workers and businesses to grow the local economy through job training, business tax reduction, and stronger schools.

Opening of Park

Neighborhood Parks
Having nearly doubled the number of parks in his district in his first term, Councilmember Garcetti continues to build more neighborhood parks and community gardens while promoting better maintenance and upkeep of existing facilities.

Clean Water and Clean Air
Councilmember Garcetti is helping to lead efforts to clean up our local water supply and our bodies of water, from Echo Park Lake to the LA River, from Silver Lake Reservoir to the Santa Monica Bay. He will continue to push for cleaner air in Los Angeles by promoting lower emissions from our port, airport, and our fleet of city vehicles.

Reducing Graffiti and Dumping
Councilmember Garcetti is working to reduce graffiti in his district by 50 percent and expand the much-lauded UNTAG (Uniting Neighborhoods To Abolish Graffiti) initiative citywide. He will work to expand the number of “furniture-buster” truck crews throughout the city.
